>Oh Liste, > >Does anybody else stiffen up in the jaw while tuning? >I donīt think I have temporal-mandibular joint dysfunction. Sounds like you're developing it! Tuning posture can be really bad for your health -- one needs to exercise & strengthen various upper body muscle groups, abdominal muscles, etc. Stretching exercises, yoga, swimming, etc. are good antidotes to tuners' messed up muscles. A good physical therapist (or chiropractor if you're into that specialty) can help you figure out what you need to do to rebalance yourself. Or if you'd rather just deal with the symptom, a tooth guard can help you keep from grindin' your teeth away (if you're doin' it while you're working, you probably do it in your sleep too). Good luck, Patrick
