Getting finger prints off a mat finish

I have used pure rubbing alcohol on satin finishes when I didn't have
anything else, with no negative effects. I don't see the problem here, of
course, there is always the problem of encountering the one time it WILL be
a problem, but it hasn't happened yet. A little care may be required, like
putting the rubbing alcohol on a cloth to dampen it. That's how I use it,
not pouring it on. My 2 cents.
