Greetings List,
Since Stan is so mid westernly modest I thought I would post an a
thumbnail intro. He is a music professor at Harper Community College in
the Chicago area. He would probably be playing trombone in an symphony
orchestra execpt he was smart enough to get a Phd in music and ended up
teaching. His interest in piano tuning goes back to his teens when he spent
weekends spent with a piano tuner. He has two pianos, a Williams and
Sons upright (from childhood) and a Steinway O.
I was fortunate to meet him in person when he came to visit the Shrine
to Music Museum here in SD. We are missing out if we don't get him to take
some of us through one or two Chicago museums. I am glad we have the
opportunity to enjoy his posts. What treat to have the input of a
professional musican and academic all in one.
     ---ric
