larry, 2 options , voice existing hammers, or replace...you may want to use japanese hammers which should give you exactly what you want, which you will have to have voiced also... regarding action, apparently you have no problem with it, however, are the capstans of a modern variety or are they attached physically to the whippins? Some of the older models are more difficult to work on if attached in this manner. tm
