Funny thing John, there was a bill presented at the initial condemnation
ceremony. It briefly described the piano's problems and pronounced it not
serviceable without major overhaul. At the second condemnation, the new
owner mentioned having seen the invoice with my name on it and claiming
that as de facto evidence that I had indeed rebuilt it! That was for what
at the time was a $35 service call!!! 

So you see it didn't have to even get to the third time before I was really
happy to be there. 

Still, there are other appointments I go to in utter dread that turn out to
be the best thing that's happened to me all week. Every day's a new
adventure if you don't weaken. <G>
