Dopey Tuning, because they didn't use GARFIELDS

Hi,

About 4 years ago I asked the list members to comment on pin tightener
methods. I got 33 replies, 2 were private and "off list". 27 of them
recommend Garfields. One of the private posts suggested the use of CA glue.
I decided to try the *new* method. The piano is still holding very well,
when before I was unable to remove my tuning lever from the pins.

I have since found that CA used after traditional pin dope causes the CA to
work even better. I suspect this is because CA glue is activated by the
moisture content of the wood. It also appears to cure the *spongizes*
