Hi, About 4 years ago I asked the list members to comment on pin tightener methods. I got 33 replies, 2 were private and "off list". 27 of them recommend Garfields. One of the private posts suggested the use of CA glue. I decided to try the *new* method. The piano is still holding very well, when before I was unable to remove my tuning lever from the pins. I have since found that CA used after traditional pin dope causes the CA to work even better. I suspect this is because CA glue is activated by the moisture content of the wood.
