List, I hate to waste anyone's time with this question, but I promised a customer I would ask around, so here goes. The customer was given an old upright that is made by Schultz Piano Company, serial number 57534. It has a brass plate mounted on the front saying it is a commemorative issue piano celebrating the 400th anniversary of the landing of Christopher Columbus or something to that effect. She's just sure it's worth some money - I told her it was worth $100-$300 in fair condition. I can't even find Schultz Piano Co. in the Pierce (10th edition). There are lots of Schultz's, but I think the closest one is probably the one that just says, "Schultz, France 1835" because she mentioned something about the plate saying "patented French action". Any comments? Anybody hear of this before? I hate to waste very much time on it, as she is only going to sell it once she figures out how much it is worth, but if anyone has anything off the top of their head (no toupee's please) I would appreciate your contribution.
