Aural?

100% aural, always have been. I might buy an ETD
if my hearing in octave 7 starts to fail. So far,
my hearing has survived, in spite of light tinnitus
and a tendency for my left ear to rattle when
sounds are loud. I use the earplugs a lot, but
usually not for tuning, unless the top octave
is very loud and harsh. Then I'll use them, but
later check my work without them.

I just enjoy the unencumbered way of tuning, and
it seems to work for me.
