Some are and some are not, it depends upon the chemical
composition.

But...

When heated to the point of burning and sometimes melting
they will decompose and toxic fumes are produced including
phosgene (sp). This is true of all ..lons. This is why
firefighters wear masks when they go into a fire, smoke
indeed but the tonics are even more deadly.

You can eat them, smell them, live with them and enjoy them
but you cannot burn any of them without putting your and
others health at risk.
