Ear plugs

I don't, but I sure have thought about it. I have noticed that on many
pianos - especially consoles and the like - around F5 or G5 you will get one
or two notes that are extremely loud - they reverberate in the ear - like a
bad rock concert that is WAY to loud. What makes that one or two notes
pierce your ears so much more that others?
