Ivory came in vast numbers of grades related to whiteness, opacity, grain, density and thickness. Not all ivory is alike and factories ordered by price. A perfect match is difficult at best and near impossible at times. You have encountered one of those. I hate ivory work because I have never replaced one that was perfect. All things can be matched but wear and I have trouble making the joint invisible. Plastic is so much easier. Newton
