..what is a "five-limit" sonority?

scales which are built from intervals defined by intergers of 5 or less.  The 
most complex allowed then, which we would use, would be the 5:4 third. 
   A three limit scale must be constructed by intervals that don't surpass 3. 
 This means octaves,(2:1) and fifths (3:2)
