adjusting capstans

I presume this is a console. Remove a key, turn the capstan, reinstall key,
check lost motion, remove the key, adjust capstan, reinstall key. Repeat...

The old style uprights with a screw underneath the felt were adjusted like this
before capstans were utilized.

Sit down while you're doing this, have a cuppa nearby,
