Jerry: Steam is certainly a possiblity.  Other methods you could try =
are:
    1.  Vise grips - squeezing around the shoulders and judiciously =
under the strike point. Really works out your hands.
    2. Alcohol and water.
    I've been using mostly steam and vice grips for the really hardcore =
