On a side note to this stuff... I just read that the worlds smallest playable harp is carved from a single crystal of silicon, and has strings made of silicon each measuring between 1,000 and 8,000 nanometers long and about 50 nanometers thick. Strings are played by applying electrical current at varying radio frequencies to the crystal base and they produce sound at frequencies up to 380 MHz. No mention of temerament used.... grin. Also the worlds smallest playable guitar is about 10 microns long. Try tuning that puppy... -- Richard Brekne RPT, N.P.T.F. Bergen, Norway mailto:Richard.Brekne@grieg.uib.no
