Hello Paul,

     The action you refer to in the "Clough& Warren" is
undoubtedly a "Staib-Abendschein" whose factory was
in N.Y. New York.                                                             
                                                                              
                                                                              
                                                                 This action 
was rated at 1400 blows a minute, making it the
fastest repeating action of any type. Their goal with this action
was the much sought-after positive and never-failing repetition. 
    Albert Staib and  George Abendschein  were successfull in
