A temporary solution - Piano Firing Missiles at Church

Bill,

I just thought of something that might at least be a temporary
solution to prevent someone on the front pew from requiring
stitches...

Thread a thin string, say #11 or 12, through each of the hitch
pin loops all the way across each of the bass strings. This way
if one lets go it will be caught by the wire. If the hitch pin
loops are to small then perhaps a piece of fishing line wrapped
around each of the hitch pin coils all the way down and then tied
off.
