It should be of tremendous benefit for others. However, like I said earlier, I can make the contemporary one work like you have indicated, but have a greater interest in obtaining an original one, if possible, to take away the obvious appearance of a non-original agraffe sticking up a little higher than it's neighbors, a little narrower in the width, having a narrowed bi-chord and a potential uplifted damper head (could even use smaller damper pads to prevent this as well as your idea of precompressing? the felt). Thought it was worth a shot anyway before I proceed with what I have. Thank you for taking the time to post what you did.
