Hi Terry, Learn to tune with your other hand. You can distribute the stress load better that way. Do use a striker (pounder) if you are having problems. Do learn to tune in a mild manner. Do consider learning both smooth pull and impact techniques and alternate between them. Do use an elbow brace--particularly on days when you have more tunings than is comfortable for your body.
