Pierce Atlas Idea

List,

I've been thinking over the last couple of months how nice it would be to
have the Pierce Piano Atlas on CDROM. This way, we could have easier access
to it while entering in customer data on our computers. Also, updates would
be way easy--just send out a new CD. Or...better yet, charge a small yearly
update fee allowing purchasers of the first CD to download additional yearly
data from a website, storing it on the hard drive.

The kind of info that Pierce has is almost better in electronic form, and
serial numbers could be found electronically by computer sorting faster than
thumbing through the pages. Have a simple interface with the Mfg field and
serial # field. The program would do the rest. You could also have the
ability to scroll through all the data via a reader such as Acrobat.

What do you think of this? How would one get in touch with Larry Ashley
about it?
