 Hello to all.

The Schiller Co. was founded in Oregon, Ill. in 1892.
Frederick George Jones was born in Canada in 1847
and was a stock holder from the beginning. Soon he
bought all the stock and owned entire Company.
By 1912 the Co. was producing 6000 Pianos a year.
He had three Sons Geo. H., Edgar and Cyrus who all
worked in the factory. He died in 1913. In some manner
Geo. Jones was able to use the patents of J. Bauer in
his grands.
The scale ' E' a 5,4 in. Grand was their best and
 most popular Grand
The Schiller used both the W.N.G. and Strauch Bros.
actions and perhaps others.
The ' E ' scale had 13 single and 14 double strings in
the bass.
This Piano is most surely worth rebuilding if you
compare, after a quality rebuild, to anything new on
the market at $10.000 or under. Especially if you
consider durability. The wood used to build this Piano
is so much superior to 98% of the pianos build today
that it could easily outlast them 3 times over.
At some point The Schiller Co. was Affiliated with
Conover Bros.

 Hope this helps,
 Jack Wyatt
