Which specific glue pot?  The quality control of these pots doesn't seem to
be all that great -- they vary quite a lot.

Get a plastic coffee pot from Wal-Mart (if you can bring yourself to go in
there) and cut off the top third or the top half. Find a jar of an
appropriate size and -- bingo -- you have a double boiler that doesn't boil.
Temperatures are generally about right, as is the price.
