Hi, Mark: Hope you got the BB; I mailed them out from the main post office on 5/30. Kim emailed today saying she didn't get hers yet. I know the deadline is here for the tech exam- wish I had a little more time to learn some more skills. I want to get the RPT as soon as I can. Pulled the Balwin Acro action out today. I know some spinets could make me jump off the nearest overpass, but this one wasn't that bad. Had the customer zero in from the bottom as I set it back in. Should have pulled the action to repair the loose jack earlier, but I was worried that I'd be camping out overnight in the customer's living room. Did the same jack repair job on your basic ancient upright earlier today. Gift from church friends to another. Well meaning, but they gouged the floor and tore off a pedal in the name of charity. How can you complain under those circumstances? Going rafting tomorrow. Currently tired, but a cold beer and 8 hrs will perk me up. Also enjoyed the latest exchange between you and Ron. I, too, have no idea how filling a plate crack equates with filling a soundboard crack. Ben, by the way, believes in saving virtually every soundboard- even the ones in pieces. He likes that old wood. He also thinks the critical area is downbearing- more so than crown. Thanks for the pic of the Yamaha. I'll put that info in the next newsletter.
