serial numbers

If a serial number is printed on the pinblock, and you replace the
pinblock, what number do you put on the new pinblock? I would guess that
you'd use the original serial number, which represents when the original
piano was built. But if a piano has been "remanufactured", or whatever you
want to call it, it seems strange to give the piano its old serial number.

What do you all do?
