New Phone

Greg.
The important issue for you to examine is the reception/transmission that a
given company gets in a certain area. I live in a more remote area, with an
inadequate number of transmission towers. (yes, even with satellites there
is a need for towers to transmit and receive the signal) Not all companies
are the same in this area and I battled with AT& T and switched to Sprint
PCS only to find them even worse. Verizon seems to work well here, but that
is specific only to this area. Find out what other people in you area are
using with success and go with them. Once you sign on with a provider you
are usually obligated for a year or you will pay a hefty fee for canceling
service, so my suggestion is to find out ahead of time what works in your
area.

Newton,
Will you do me the favor of letting me know how it's working out after
you've had it a while? I've been thinking about the same move myself.
