Hi John,

I use Yamaha "Metal Polish" (for brass instruments), got the recommendation
from a Yamaha tech (and he got it from Yamaha...). On high gloss polyester
it will look just like factory-new! The black satin finish is hardly sold at
all in Europe, so I havn`t tried it on that.

Does anyone have a safe method for polishing the brass inlay lettering of a
Yamaha fallboard, without harming the surrounding finish?

I've tried Cory buffbrite, but that did nothing.

It's a satin, lacquer finish.

Many thanks!
