This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment Hi list! I am going to replace the bass strings in a little Steck grand (I can't = recall the size), which is remaining in the client's home. I want to = add some tenor wound strings as the piano has a very bad case of "tenor = tubbies" - by memory, the bass/tenor break is at notes 27/28 - too low = for a piano of this size. I am experienced in rescalling these strings. = =20 Question: Do you see any problems with drilling the plate for additional = hitchpins while the piano is strung and at pitch? I have not done this = in someone's home before. Of course, I will have to discuss it with the = client first otherwise I think she might freak when I get out my big = drill and start drilling holes in her piano! =20 Regards, Stephen Stephen Powell RPT Auckland, NZ ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
