Get out the big drill and start making lots and lots of noise and watch the owner
sweat.  Why should you have all the fun.

The old Stecks were/are nice pianos that can be improved with rescaling and putting
wrapped strings on the middle section.

Where to stop with wrapped strings?  Calculate until wraps no longer make effective
improvements.  At that point return to steel.  Not fool proof of course but also stay
away from wraps that are .008" or less.  Winders HATE those miniature sizes.  Of
course if you don't like your winder then go ahead and make his day miserable.

Long waste ends make  better tone.
