1. You can buy one probably cheaper at the fabric store near you. Plus new
blades.

2. You'd better be pretty careful with it. It goes right through practically
anything, including flesh, with almost no resistance.

    And yeah, I use the sandpaper backed straight edge that Brian mentioned.
