---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment Dan, being at the Kawai demonstration with you I thought I might bring up the fact that the Kawai technician stated and tried to demonstrate the idea that almost anything done to an action affects the pianos tone, even backcheck angle (not changing the checking point). He even tried to demonstrate that if you put a little teflon powder on the back check below the hammer catch point it would change the tone of that particular note. It was an interesting but highly subjective demonstration. I came away very skeptical.
