Hello, WHen beeing at a Yamaha training a long time ago, I was told how to regulate the exact simultanese timing of the drop screw touching the top of balancier and meanwhile the letoff touch his regulating button. Thats the way to obtain what is called "clear touch" and the regulation is made by feeling that moment in the finger when regulating the drop. This way the resistance of the twoo contacts is not delayed and gives an exact reference to the pianist to control the repetition. Pianists like to have a very clear "reading" of the letoff all along the keyboard . This regulation is very essential BMO.
