Richard, No, that is not what I meant, at all! If a Square Grand is in good condition, then it is capable of "fist" playing just like modern pianos. Age has little to do with it, as long as the wood is still in ok condition. I service Squares all the time and some of them get pretty heavy playing, by their Adult owners.
