Noise

I have a customer with a Steinway S which has a papery rattle which goes
away when pressure is applied to the soundboard or the bass bridge.  The
piano seems to have a distortion to the sound although it is in a warehouse
with glass and concrete everywhere.  After inspecting I can find no
separations or visable problems.  Piano has bearing and crown...built in
the 50s.  Does anyone have any ideas?
