I think you need to listen to the TV and the radio. The more I hear and see,
I believe the Taliban are more of a Nazi type of regime, than a real
government. The majority of people living in Afghanistan do not support this
regime. They are hungry, poor, and tired of fighting. By giving them food,
clothing, they will see the US as a compassionate country that is not trying
to take them over, like the Soviets did, but a government that is trying to
help.

I saw an interview this morning on Good Morning America, of an American
reporter talking to Taliban prisoners. These people want all US citizens
killed. They are of such a mind set that are willing to kill children the get
what they want. The Taliban is the enemy in Afghanistan, not the majority of
the citizens. Why do think millions of them have bee fleeing to Pakistan long
before the September 11 attack?

I support the President, and the government. So far, I have not seen massive
bombing raids, or thousands of soldiers in Afghanistan. Perhaps the President
has already taken the thought of providing humanitarian aid as a means of
fighting terrorism. It will not be the only way, but it will certainly go a
long way towards peace. And that is what we all want, isn''t it?
