standard pitch in 1850?

The tuning pin tip will be an oval tip (like the square grands) if the tuning pins are original. They are available from Schaff, Pianotek, etc. They may be smaller in diameter also. And of course, who knows what someone else over the past 150 years may have put in her. I'd recommend waiting until you see the piano and then get what you need.
