Hey Terry
This sounds possibly like a drill and plug with delignit 1/2" =
plugs kinda of job? Especially if the open faced block is angled or has =
more than one flange shelf like some Chickerings.
Dale
I sure hope not. I can't stand the look of all those plugs in an open =
faced block. Especially when doing the job right is not all that =
difficult. Even the angled Chickerings aren't all that bad, but the =
Knabe block is flat and relatively easy duplicate and replace. We've =
done several and none of them presented all that much of a challange. =
(Don't forget Terry has at least some experience with wooden boats -- =
ain't a straight line in any of them.) And those open-face blocks sure =
look beautiful when they are all finished. Not to mention how =
beautifully they tune.
