 Hello Bill,

   You are right, however,  the back check principle 
remains the same. I could never believe that the coil
 spring had to be so strong or that it would not break 
even when new.
   
   To all who read this, I need the whippen and the 
hammer assembles on the model that has the
complicated  let-off system to make a model for
the PTG Foundation Museum for future generations
of piano technicians.  I now have 20 models to
go to the Museum mostly grands.  I am now starting
on Uprights.   I need help !!!
