Hi Clyde. I almost don't want to try and answer your question (I'm afraid I'll come off sarcastic - I don't mean to be), with you having paid me such a nice compliment on your follow-up to my recent post! I'm almost speechless regarding your question. I don't think I have touched a typewriter since about 1980 (and I used to type a good 60 wpm!). I assume that you have a computer!?!? (Daaaaa....) Believe me, I'm not for a second suggesting that there is anything in the world wrong with using a typewriter - but if you have a computer, what is the need? I guess I could understand a manual typewriter if you have frequent power outages, but otherwise, I guess I don't see it. I use the computer a lot in my business, but I only have the need to put out maybe one letter a week (that I could use a typewriter for).

For $500 you could buy a nice second computer now-a-days (with printer included)! I guess I'm with your wife on this one. Good luck!

BTW, I admire one's ability to NOT change just because other do - it CAN be a positive quality.
