Junk Pianos - Dramatic Demolition

Hi, Zen!
That 'Northern Exposure' episode is a classic. I found it in my public
library. It's called 'Burning Down the House'. I tried to copy the
flinging portion of the video for a key bushing class I taught. But, alas,
there was a chip keeping me from such larceny. It would have demonstrated
the need to number keys so well.....

There was an episode of "Northern Exposure" some years back wherein an old
upright was catapulted quite some distance. It was pretty impressive. The
sad part about it was that it was a Mason and Hamlin! I'm sure NBC could
dig
up the footage for you somewhere.

Will we be able to watch the drama of the piano disintegrating? Or will it

be completely concealed by the jaws of the crusher?

Next question/thought ... has anyone tried shooting high-speed footage of a

piano disintegrating upon impact (whether catapulted or dropped a

substantial distance) to be played back at normal speed or slower? I'd love

to see what gives out when in the disintegration process.
