There's something odd about this. Some people seem to be able to handle
strings all day and cause no harm. Others come within ten feet of piano wire
and it starts to corrode. Best advise I can give is to keep dirty and sweaty
hands off of piano strings. Or wear gloves--though I can't see any pianist
wearing them during a performance.
