Wim,

Your comment sparked a recent experience to come to the surface (ouch).
No, actually it was quite pleasant.

A Canadian company that I order almost everything from is called
PIANOPHILE, and is situated in Quebec. I needed a certain style of caster
for a piano job I was doing this summer. The item was not in stock because
the manufacturer had suspended creation of the item until demand increased.
I was notified of this by Pianophile. There were several emails between
them and me keeping me up-to-date on the situation. And, I finally got what
I needed.

I have been notified by them on other occaissions that certain things
will be held up, or are not available.

So, sometimes suppliers do respond, and do go out of their way. Anyway,
sorry to hear about your experiences.

Sincerely,
Tom Dickson
