Wilem:
I used three pullies attatched to each side and back of the harp and as you
described to beams. I pull one and then the other. I miscounted the number of
bolts on this piano......there are 9...nine. I must suspend this harp from
one source as you said because I will never level the harp to allow it to
slip over the bolts. I like to have never got it out because of the torque
from one pully to another. I hope you are right...it will just slip right
over the bolts without too much trouble. WHEN YOU USE THE COME ALONG, DO YOU
USE ONLY ONE SUPPORT STRAP TIED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HARP OR MULTIPLE STRAPS
TIED LIKE A "TEE-PEE"? I have always used the three pully system but have
always only had one nose bolt to contend with. This may be my very last piano
to rebuild. It has been the piano from Hades...Pin Block ..two piece...bolts
from bottom..24 bolts 12 of which were too rusty to remove easily...pin block
shipped to Schaff for reproduction....first man ..hospital for
pancreas....sent to #2 man....hospitalized for heart trouble....finally
somebody made it.....it don't fit.... I think I'm going to have a heart
attack. This week...I don't like "piano fixing".
