Allen: Reiinstalling the old damper wires. There are deep, deep marks from the screws being too tight. I am going to again do a little filing on the indentation and I also wonder if the screws may have "flatten" the round wire a bit at this spot. I will know after a while. I also now wonder since I have screwed up the old damper wires with 0000 steel wool can I salvage these wires and polish up the scratches with the scotch guard ? Thanks Tommy Black Decatur, Ala.
