Replacing Spinet Strings

List,

After reading a few of these comments about curtain rods for putting on a
string, I am a little confused on when the rod comes off. It would seem
that one would need to remove the rod prior to feeding the string up
throught the pressure bar, yes? Or no?

Thanks to all who have responded.

and slide it down inside the rod. This can be inserted behind the bass
strings. pull the bottom of the loop out and slip it over the hitch pin and
lock it there with a clamp. Now take care of the top in the usual fashion.
When finished the rod will easily come off and you can put the tension on
and finish. Pull it up a half step sharp and back it down. Good luck!
