Lowell Wacker told me about using a chinning bar to brace the lyre and = when I looked at them I thought I could build something better. Attached is a picture of what I made. It's a piece of heavy plastic = pipe with a 1/2 inch threaded rod inserted. A padded copper "T" on each = end and adjust for transferring the force on the lyre to the treble leg = while tipping.
