Supply house confidentiality on prices

As far as having the customer supplying the materials:

Next time you go out to dinner, bring the steak, potatoes and veggies; hand
them to the waiter and ask
them to only charge you for cooking and serving. Why should they take a
mark-up on the food.
Bring you own wine too, tell them they mark it up too much and you procured
it cheaper elsewhere.

When there is an automobile oil and filter sale and your local discount
store, stock up. That way,
when you need an oil change for your car, you can tell the mechanic to only
charge you for installation.
What would a mechanic say if your water pump failed and you purchased it
somewhere and you asked
him to 'talk you trough' putting it in.

And never, I say never, purchase popcorn or candy at a movie theatre...
talk about markup.
