What Percentage?

Hi Joe,

The tuners are always biting the bullet on price increases. It is
unfortunate. I remember hearing one technician whining at a convention
once--wishing his wife would get a job--so that he could keep on tuning
pianos (at a low rate).

Dealers would like us to charge as little as possible. They would prefer
concert level work at pitch correction prices. I know of one instance where
a dealer has deliberately "imported" tuners for many years to a fairly
large city in Canada (not my city thankgoodness) which has the unfortunate
side effect of "busting prices".
