I've done a few for potential customers on dealership floors - you're being
paid by the customer, not the dealer. Be pleasant, but don't offer up any
info to the dealer while you're there..if they pry, just explain to them
that you are here at the request of YOUR client, and you will relate what
you find to YOUR client.

That usually stops the ball from rolling.
