Greetings Piano Lover. Personally, I always clean front and balance rail pins using a fine grade wire wool and a little Brasso, being carefull not to let the fluid run onto the rail as it will dis-colour. Wipe clean, polish up, and finish with a light coating of petrolium jelly, or Teflon powder.[which ever is the cheapest!] Hope this helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "pianolover 88" <pianolover88@hotmail.com> To: <pianotech@ptg.org> Sent: Friday, July 25, 2003 4:42 AM Subject: cleaning balance rail pins & > Hi List, > > Gulbransen Upright circa 1922.
