This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment Hi Bob! I've serviced numerous Walter pianos since moving to Michigan 12 years = ago. Warranty problems have been very few and far between, and very = minor. Dealing with the people at the factory is a true joy -- some of = the nicest people anywhere. Mr. Walter himself often takes the calls. = At one point I asked a dealer to stock a selection of parts for all of = the brands of pianos they sold, and years later, the only box not yet = opened was the one from Charles Walter. As for how well they age, all I can say is that they simply refuse to = show their age. I guess that's what happens when you start with good = materials and workmanship. Quite the contrast to those pianos that = deteriorate dramatically the instant they are lifted and loaded onto a = dolly for the trip off the salesfloor. Sometimes they do require some voicing, particularly evenning out what's = already there. There's enough depth to the tone that stuff can be done = with it without it going to mud when trying for a mellow tone or going = to something like cheap brittle plastic when going for brilliance.
